North Pole Murder Mystery Introduction To The Theme
The North Pole was preparing for Christmas, and things were rather hectic.... The elves were behind schedule, and Santa Claus needed to make sure everything got back on track. Yet with the North Pole’s annual Christmas celebration, held to celebrate all of their hard work, quickly approaching, and problems mounting up, things were getting out of control.
The North Pole’s Christmas celebration was a night everyone was excited for. There would be games, music, decorations, and a Christmas tree filled with gifts for the elves to celebrate the Christmas season. Yet when Elven Krimwald, one of the elves, was murdered, things turned into chaos.
Elven was found in Santa’s private office. Santa’s naughty and nice list, a half-eaten candy cane, a red ribbon, and some cookie crumbs were found by his body. One of the guests at the North Pole’s party-- AKA one of you-- is responsible.
It is now time to begin questioning to figure out who had the motive, means, and opportunity to murder. Remember, it could be any of you, and no one knows who did it, not even the killer themself. Good luck!
Sample Characters (Actual Characters Will Vary Based on Number/Gender of Players)
Santa Claus is globally well-known, and he is responsible for making sure Christmas goes to plan. His entire year is spent preparing for Christmas, and on Christmas Eve, he is going to set out on his yearly journey delivering presents across the world. Santa is very stressed right now, and while he loves spreading Christmas cheer, the pressure is getting to him… Christmas this year might have to be canceled!
Mrs. Claus is Santa’s wife, and she is very supportive of her husband. She runs a wildly successful Christmas cookie business on the side, and Mrs. Claus has donated a lot of money to different charities. She loves Christmas and is eager to do all she can to make it magical, and Mrs. Claus is excited to help spread joy this Christmas.
Andrew Frost is the reindeer trainer in the North Pole, and he loves his job. He spends almost all of his time socializing with the reindeer, so his people skills are a bit lacking. Even still, Andrew is very outgoing and loves making new friends.
Candy Pine is the leader of Santa’s elves, and she takes her job very seriously. Some of the other elves are critical of Candy, and they think she is uptight. However, Candy just knows the importance of her job in making sure Christmas goes to plan. She oversees the production of millions of toys, and Candy is willing to do anything to make sure Christmas is perfect.
Timmy is the head of the gift wrapping division. He doesn’t do much hard labor himself, although he manages a team of elves and is in charge of an essential part of Christmas. It was an honor, but Timmy was also ready to retire. He liked the idea of going to live on a beach somewhere and relax, and Timmy decided that this would be his last Christmas in the North Pole.
Macy is an elf at the North Pole, although recently she was suspended from her position after getting into some trouble. Macy was very embarrassed and apologetic, although clearly it wasn’t enough. Macy was rather upset, as she loved being an elf, and being suspended so close to Christmas was very upsetting. Macy just wanted to help spread Christmas cheer… and she was being deprived of that opportunity.
