New Years' Murder Mystery Introduction To The Theme
Every New Year was a day of starting over. The second the clock struck 12:00 a.m. on January 1st, everyone got a chance to start over. Addison Westwood planned a New Years party that everyone was sure to remember. She had games planned, delicious food, and great company.
Each party guest was there to have fun, but they were also taking place in a very special New Years tradition. Each person would write down their New Year’s resolution and put it into a big jar, where it would be sealed up until next year. Each guest had something that they wanted to improve on, and they were excited to get the chance to do so in the upcoming year.
One guest wrote down her resolution, preparing to seal it up. Only a few minutes later, exactly as the clock struck 12:00 a.m, she dropped dead. The victim’s name was Leah Proul, and she had been poisoned. Leah’s glass of celebratory champagne had been spiked with a lethal dose of cyanide. When she took a sip as the countdown to the New Year ended, the poison entered her body and killed her. She dropped her glass and fell to the floor. Also found on or near the body was Leah’s resolution, broken glass, a single rose, and a gold butterfly necklace.
It is now up to you to figure out who had the motive, means, and opportunity to kill Leah. Each of you are a suspect. Remember, no one knows who did it, not even the killer themself. Find the killer and prove your own innocence… if you even are innocent. Good luck!
