Queen Charlotte's Debutante Ball Murder Mystery Introduction To The Theme

Queen Charlotte threw an elaborate debutante ball, the Queen Charlotte’s Ball, in London every year to celebrate her birthday. The Ball was designed to help young women enter high society and find their matches, and it was an incredibly exciting event for every member of high society. There were bound to be engagements, and the merging of two powerful families was always interesting.

Each year, Queen Charlotte picked a diamond, who was the most desirable debutante at the Ball. Whoever she chose would almost certainly receive a proposal, and they were bound to be the talk of the season. This was a highly coveted position, and everyone who was anyone wanted the title.

One debutante, Sheridan Young, was rumored to have been chosen as the diamond of the Ball. The cake was cut, and everyone shared in a slice while Queen Charlotte deliberated on who she would choose. However, a few moments before Queen Charlotte was going to announce the diamond, Sheridan Young dropped to the floor, dead.

Sheridan’s slice of cake had been poisoned, and the suspects were all in attendance at the Ball. The medical examiner determined that she was killed with a fast-acting poison that took 10 minutes to kill. Therefore, she was poisoned right around the time that the cake was served.

Sheridan was holding a pearl necklace when she was killed, although no one knew who it belonged to. Also found by the body was a shattered handheld mirror, a gold ring, and a biscuit. It is now up to you all, the suspects, to figure out who killed Sheridan Young. All of you are suspects, and no one knows who did it, not even the killer themself. Solve the crime to prove your own innocence… if you even are innocent. Good luck.
