Caterina Jones was poisoned and she died just before the movie started. The police were called and they were unable to determine exactly when she was poisoned. It was within an hour of her death, so it could have been minutes or moments before she dropped dead in the living room. However, they did determine that it could only have been one of the other guests at the slumber party. Found next to Caterina’s body was an envelope full of cash, a paystub, and an old math assignment that was crumpled up into a ball. Caterina was a well-liked student and athlete. She had many friends and few enemies, or so everyone thought. Someone clearly had something against Caterina, so much so that they killed her. She was a lively girl with a bright future, and that future was taken from her in a brutal fashion.
