INTRODUCTION TO THEME: Several people received invitations to a grand masquerade party. It was to take place at Brownwood Manor, an abandoned mansion that was a popular site for hosting parties and gatherings. The abandoned manor is supposedly haunted. It is beautiful inside, yet those who visit often claim that there is a strange presence there. The invitations were addressed to each guest. They did not say who was hosting the party- only a date, time, and instructions telling each guest to wear a masquerade mask. Each guest accepted the invite, as they are all wealthy socialites who would never turn down a chance for a good time. Masquerade balls are known for their mystery and allure. Guests wear ornate masks in order to hide their identity… perhaps the reason why the killer decided to throw a masquerade party as a front to kill their victim. The guests were socializing and trying to figure out who had invited them to the party when they were interrupted by the sound of a glass shattering. The body of Joseph Kennedy, a billionaire socialite who’d been one of the nine guests at the party, was found at about 10 p.m. It appeared that he had been poisoned, and no one was in attendance besides the other guests. Found near the body was Joseph’s invitation, an unlit match, a broken glass, and an extra black mask. It is up to you to find out who had the motive, means, and opportunity to kill Joseph Kennedy. Each of the remaining guests is a suspect. No one knows who did it, not even the killer themself. It is now time to question the other suspects to find out who committed this horrible crime… and to prove your own innocence. Good luck!
